So I've got a basic tutorial up. Here's what I'm planning to do in the future.
Photoshop tutorial that steps through how to create a proper 32bit tga
Similar tutorial for Paintshop Pro
Advanced placement and aligning of textures with DART
Using textures with the other Discord addons
Replacing game textures by using DFM and other methods
Texture scripting (I don't know much about this one)
Are there any other specifics that I should hit on? Maybe some tutorials on basic stuff in photoshop as it relates to game textures?
I'm also thinking that I'll keep tutorials as topical as possible. In other words, instead of an end to end tutorial (starting with nothing but an idea and ending in the game), I'll stick to creating lots of small tutorials that are very specific. For example, I would create one called "How to align textures to your screen" instead of one called "Creating your own completely custom interface from scratch."
Ok, I'm not sure if that last paragraph made sense - if not, then just answer the first question... lol... what kind of tutorials (and any other content) do you guys want to see? _________________ Got Textures?

Well, since nobody else has responded, I'll throw in my $0.02.
Of the tutorials you listed, my preference in order would be:
-Photoshop tutorial that steps through how to create a proper 32bit tga
-Using textures with the other Discord addons
-Replacing game textures by using DFM and other methods
I don't use PSP so that isn't an issue for me, but others might want it. And the tutorial I really need that you didn't list is:
-How to be creative enough to create cool textures

That would be a good one too. Personally, I wouldn't go too basic as anyone who shelled out the money for Photoshop should have at least a passing knowledge of how to use it.

Yep, it made sense. I agree with you. I find it a bit frustrating to be looking for one specific piece of information and being force to wade through pages and pages of long tutorials to find what I'm looking for.

Thanks for the feedback Daklu! I'm going to try and get another tutorial up this week... assuming my Fiance will grant my some free time. Heheh...

What I was thinking here was some basic masking. Like, taking a screenshot of something in game, and pulling an object out of the screenshot, perspective correcting, and so on. We'll see where that goes. _________________ Got Textures?

Here is one that I made quickly tonight since some people were asking about it, this seems to be the quickest and easiest way to get really good results in Photoshop CS2. Not sure how clear it is, hopefully you can follow it ok.
There is even a bit of extension work there if you get the hang of it, adding a drop shadow!
I have tried half a dozen tutorials including the one above and I do apreciate the effort put in but I get stuck halfway.
I have never, ever had to use alpha channels for anything basicly so I have no idea whats going on.
Would it be too much to ask to break down the turorial even more? Because i feel you're taking leaps and I'm just crawling.
Same goes for every tutorial out there, they all skip some step I have no way of knowing how to do - not a photoshop expert or even a regular user of it.
For example I get totaly confused on what to do when in the above tutorial it say to create a colour overlay, which is fine i can do that....the stuff that comes after it I have no idea whats going on.
HOW do I copy it in the first place, copy it to where? copy which part exactly? And why do I have to go back in my history to the original picture?
The tutorial on how to implement tga into wow was great, but not having one as specific on how to make a tga basicly defeats the purpose of having the other one.
a tutorial on turning textures into functional elements of your UI perhaps? like a custom texture turned into a health or mana bar for example, or how to replace the default DUF player frame with a custom texture?
